Although evidence now shows that Hannah Anthony Hartsell's husband was probably named
Jacob (via diary entries of son Jacob calling himself Jacob Jr), evidence I have heard through
the Hartsell-L mailing list is that he originally called himself Abraham. (one old family
story discussed said he had money troubles in PA and did not want to be known by
Jacob) So do not be surprised sometimes if the first name Abraham appears instead
of Jacob.

In the diary of his son, Jacob Hartsell refers to himself as Jacob Jr. leading to the idea Abraham's real name was actually Jacob
